Healing Paws: A holistic, owner-centric board and train program
*Pricing is dependent on the length of the board and train
At Happy Paws, we understand that creating a balanced, confident dog starts with addressing the root causes of behavioural issues. Our holistic approach is designed not only to benefit your dog but also to empower you as an owner.
Each program begins with a 3 to 4 week training intensive, where your dog stays and trains with experienced dog trainer, Tanya Meilleur. After your dog returns home, you continue to work intensively with Tanya to integrate the training into your lifestyle.
*Program length between 3 and 4 weeks is dependent on behaviours and training goals

What else makes this board and train program unique?
-
Family Environment: Our board and train program provides a home environment, allowing dogs to experience a family setting while they learn, which helps with their comfort and adaptability.
-
Diverse Methodologies: By pulling from various training techniques, we aim to find the most suitable approach for each dog, promoting a more balanced training experience.
-
Holistic Practices: We incorporate holistic methods to enhance the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of dogs, leading to happier, healthier pets.
What is the owner's role in this program?
We focus on building a sustainable lifestyle that benefits both the owner and the dog, supporting the importance of the owner’s role in maintaining training outcomes. Owners are expected to be committed, open to feedback, and willing to make changes to support their dog's needs.

Will this program “fix” my dog?
We set clear expectations about the nature of behaviour change, training is a process requiring ongoing commitment from the owner, rather than a quick fix. The owner will be required to maintain the training once the dog goes home.

Why do you use e-collars?
We advocate for the responsible and mindful use of e-collars as tools that can aid in effective communication and training when used appropriately. E-collars are wonderful tools that truly help a variety of owners and their dogs live calmer, happier and safer lives. Click here for more information on e-collars and the stigmas attached to them.
